Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Last week, we made batches and batches of our Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies.  Some purists may argue a chocolate chip cookie should be just that.  But...are you craving some extra crunch or texture?  We threw in some walnuts here.  Some pecans there.  Sour cherries here and there.  Even more chunks (and we mean chunks!) of chocolate in other batches to satisfy that side of our sweet tooth.  So come on...give in to your craving.  We did...yum!

Fluffy Sourdough Bread Pudding

We're so fortunate to live in such a great community - especially when some of my fellow Mommies agree to help support the business with taste testings.  One of our bread pudding requests was for sourdough bread and I just couldn't resist snapping this photo to show the results. 

Mmmmm...cinnamon, raisins and silky custard with a light showering of confectioners sugar.

 

Coeur a la Creme with Strawberries

Yummy Little Treats

Mmmmmmm.....a few weeks ago, we tested a batch of chocolate macarons with a classic chocolate ganache filling.  They tasted so luscious and we were proud of the results.  We are, however, still testing the "perfect footing" for these delicate confections.  They will be invading the kitchen soon with more flavors and pastel colors to celebrate the spring season.  Stay tuned!

Ahoy Matey!

I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to debut some of my cupcakes with a custom design for a 5th birthday party this past weekend.  The highlight of the display were the little pirate faces made with red, white and black fondant raised up on a couple of cake stands.

Below is the full display of the 75 cupcakes which include custom "5" cupcakes for the birthday recipient, along with single coins propped on top to show off the pile of gold in the middle.
